The 4th match of IPL 2025 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Visakhapatnam turned out to be a nail-biting encounter as DC secured a stunning one-wicket victory in a high-scoring clash.
Winning the toss, Delhi Capitals opted to bowl first. During the powerplay, Lucknow Super Giants came out aggressively, targeting DC’s premier pacer, Mitchell Starc. Faf du Plessis tried to stabilize the innings with a brisk 29 off 18 balls but departed at 65/5.
A crucial 40+ partnership between Tristan Stubbs (34) and Ashutosh Sharma revived DC’s hopes. Vipraj Nigam’s blistering cameo of 39 off 15 balls further shifted momentum. With Ashutosh Sharma (66* off 31) holding his nerves batting with tailenders, as a result, DC clinched victory with just one wicket remaining, pulling off a remarkable chase to stun LSG.
